The top seeds held serve; the middle of the men's draw did not. It was the standout result of a 32-match day that otherwise ran mostly to form at the top.

The first set goes the underdogs' way, 6-4. The second stays on serve into a tiebreak, and it is González and Campagnolo who hold firm to take it 7-6 and avoid a decider. The seeds do not get a second bite.
For a Stupaczuk–Yanguas pairing still building chemistry, an early exit is a dent in a season meant to consolidate a top-eight base. It also cracks the bottom quarter wide open for the teams left in it.

This one has everything. Nuria Rodríguez and Giulia Dal Pozzo take the opener 6-4, are then handed a bagel — a 6-0 second set from Carolina Orsi and Patricia Llaguno — and still recover to win the decider in a tiebreak, 7-6.
The middle set is as lopsided as the scoreline reads; Orsi and Llaguno give nothing away. The response is the story. Dal Pozzo, playing in front of a home crowd, and Rodríguez steady themselves through a nervy third to edge the breaker.
The win puts the pair into the quarterfinals — and, as it turns out, is only the first half of their day.

The bigger scalp comes hours later. Sofía Araujo (No. 8) and Claudia Fernández (No. 6) are a seeded, established pairing; Rodríguez and Dal Pozzo, ranked far below them, beat them from a set down.
Araujo and Fernández take the first 6-3 and look in control. From there the outsiders flip it — 6-3, 6-2 — growing into the match as the seeds fade, the home support building behind Dal Pozzo. It is their second win of the day, and it books a semifinal.

No such drama at the top. The world No. 1 pair needs only 6-1, 6-1 against David Gala and Enzo Jensen and is rarely troubled — two clean sets and a routine passage into the last eight.

The women's top seeds match it. Gemma Triay and Delfina Brea dismiss Patricia Martínez Fortún and Claudia Escacena by the same 6-1, 6-1 line, dropping just two games. Business as usual for the No. 1s.
The favourites are through and largely untested, but the women's draw now has a genuine outsider: Rodríguez and Dal Pozzo have won twice to reach the semifinals with a home crowd behind them. In the men's half, the pair that took out the No. 6–7 seeds carries the freedom of having nothing to lose into the quarterfinals.
